Our
People
Minier Assembly is people from all ages and walks of life.
There are people who have been Christians for many years and those who
are still seeking the truth. You'll see people in suits and
dresses and others in jeans and tennis shoes. The Bible tells us
that people look on the outside, but God looks at the heart. None
of us are perfect, we're still on this journey together seeking to
become more like Jesus. What's important is that we be genuine and
that we reach out to one another with love and acceptance, and
acceptance is what we hope you'll find at Minier Assembly.
Acceptance by us, but more importantly acceptance from a God who takes
you as you are, but thankfully, doesn't leave you as you are!
Our
Worship
Because the Lord has done so much for
us, we can't be silent! We are expressive in our love and praise
for him. Because we are a diverse people, the style of our worship
music is diverse as well. Wednesday evening the youth worship in a very
contemporary fashion, the Adult Bible study is very traditional in
style. Once a month on Sunday evening (the fourth Sunday of the
month) the Youth Worship team lead the whole church in worship. On
Sunday morning our style is blended, mixing the old with the new.
But always our worship is energized by a passion for Jesus Christ;
voices and hands will be raised in worship as an expression of our joy
and our surrender to Him
Because we are a Pentecostal church, we believe that God not only
wants us to be active in worship, but that he wants to have an active
role in our worship as well. We believe that when we worship, the
Holy Spirit is present to speak to us, to heal bodies and to transform
lives.
Our
Reason for Being
Our three part mission is embodied in our Motto: Higher in Worship,
Deeper in Commitment, Further in Outreach.
Higher in Worship
We were created to honor God. Because of that,
the best way to feel fulfilled in life is to praise him both with our
everyday lives and when we join together to worship.
Deeper in Commitment
Our goal is to grow more like Jesus every day.
The church’s role in that growth is to provide solid biblical preaching
and teaching and strong relationships with others to encourage us and
keep us accountable
Further
in Outreach
The new life we have in Jesus
is too good to keep to ourselves, so we make it our mission to share the
Good news with others, both right here at home and all around the world.
Our
Decor
Because we believe our mission starts right here but extends all
around the world, several things around the church remind us of our
global responsibility. When you walk in the front door you'll
notice the foyer is surround by maps of the continents surrounded by
pictures of missionaries we support financially and with prayer on those
continents.
In the main worship area (or "sanctuary") flags of the world hang to
remind us that the Lord has told us to bring the good news to every
nation and people group.
Even in the children and youth spaces are posters and maps that
remind us of this worldwide responsibility.
